App Mypole
Back to projectsCreation of a design for a mobile application for learning Pole Dance. This project is personal and was undertaken to test my capabilities in terms of UX and UI using Adobe XD.
The Concept
As part of the Mobile Application Design course exam, our mission was to design an application for learning Pole Dance. We had to ensure that the design adhered to accessibility principles, was original, and provided an optimal user experience while being contemporary in terms of design.
The Task I had to accomplish
The task I completed involved creating the entire design of a mobile application using Adobe XD, a prototyping software of my choice. The objective of this application was to establish a platform for learning pole dance, including various features such as a forum for asking questions, the ability to create one’s own training routine, and a user profile inspired by the style of Instagram. The entire design was created while adhering to accessibility principles, offering an original design, and providing an optimal user experience for the application’s users.
The Steps of My Work
I took a different approach for my project, which I found more logical. I began by conducting research and creating a moodboard that gathered all the styles of sports or dance applications that appealed to me, in order to better guide myself. Since the topic was not well-known, I found this to be more appropriate. Then, I developed a prioritization guide that directed the design phase to achieve the current outcome.
The Difficulties I Encountered
The relatively unknown subject matter and lack of concrete inspiration made this work quite challenging. I believe the greatest difficulty lay in finding reliable information and high-quality, royalty-free photos. Additionally, numerous features needed to be implemented, which made the task more time-consuming compared to other applications.
