App Sneakbet

Back to projects

Creation of a design for an online shoe selling application. This project is personal and was undertaken to test my capabilities in terms of UX and UI using Adobe XD.

The concept

As part of my Mobile Application Design course, we were tasked with designing a mobile application of our choice. The options provided were a cinema application, a recipe application, a “This Or That” application, or an application for local small businesses. I chose to work on the “This Or That” application, which I renamed Sneakbet.

The Task at Hand

The task involved completely redesigning the mobile application using a prototyping software of my choice, and I opted for Adobe XD. The objective of the application was to create a daily mini-game system where users could either win a high discount or pay a slightly higher price, accompanied by a token system to manage transactions, similar to a casino mini-game.

The Steps in My Work

Firstly, I went through a phase of prioritization and guidance by consolidating the content of my different app pages and creating links between them. This allowed me to assess the usability of the pages and test the overall flow. In the second step, I conducted research to define a general style for my application. Finally, in the third step, I implemented the design across my various app pages.

Challenges I Faced

During the project, I encountered a few challenges, such as deciding on the currency used and determining the functionality of the application, such as depositing money into the app, direct withdrawal to a card, or a token system. The second challenge was finding a focused theme for such a broad application. I decided to specialize my application in the world of shoes to maintain coherence and avoid comparing disparate elements, such as a gaming console with a t-shirt, for example.
